After canceling and postponing his farewell tour more than once; in 2019, 2020, and 2022 due to health issues and COVID-19, Ozzy announced once again that he might not be able to go on tour!
Ozzy had to undergo spine surgery earlier this year after his surgeon told him that if he didn’t, there would be a good chance that he would be paralyzed from the neck down. Since then the singer has had a difficulte time walking, not to forget all that he has been through in the past few years; a number of health issues including being hospitalised with the flu and placed in intensive care, sustaining serious injuries from a fall in 2019 and having metal plates placed in his back.
Back then, Sharon Osbourne explained: “Ozzy is… Oh, Lord, I don’t know where to begin, and I have to make this quick… He, at the beginning of the year, had a bad flu that went to bronchitis, that went to pneumonia. And then when he had the flu, he came out of hospital and he had a bad accident at home. He fell. And he fell in the middle of the night.. And years ago, previously, he had a motorbike accident, where he was in a coma for days. And what he’d done was he re-injured his back and neck and shoulders. And all of the metal rods and everything that were put in his body were dislodged. So we had to cancel his year events. But he’s good, he’s fine, he’s great.”
Not long ago Osbourne stated: “It is so f***ing tough because, I mean, I want to be out there. I want to be doing it. This f***ing surgery this guy did. F***ing hell, you have no idea. The thing is my head is all right, my creativity is OK, my singing OK but I just can’t f***ing walk much now. Can’t begin to tell you how f***ing frustrating life has become. It is amazing how you go along in life and one stupid thing can screw everything up for a long time. I have never been ill this long in my life”
Best wishes to Ozzy on his journey to recovery, hopefully he’ll be able to make that tour and if not I am sure all his fans will be understanding and supportive.
Keep it heavy guys! \m/
