As you all know Jinjer is a Ukrainian band, and with the war going on now between Russia and Ukraine, the band is really doing its best to support their country. Together with Napalm Records, they released two new T-shirt designs to raise funds to be donated to various charities throughout Ukraine, 100% of proceeds earned from the sale of these T-Shirts will be distributed to charity organizations in Ukraine. So far they donated 10K to a bomb shelter in Kyiv housing, protecting 300 people, and a Slovakian humanitarian convoy collecting urgent medical supplies, food and clothing to be delivered Uzhgorod for refugees from the Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions. 4 000 Euros was directed at Natalia, who survived in Mariupol Drama Theater after it was bombed by Russian planes, another 2 000 Euro was donated to support the nursing home for elderly people which was evacuated from the area of Brovary. They also donated 365 000 UAH (10.000€) to a Children‘s Music School that was destroyed by the Russian Army. From charity merch, they were able to replace almost all the instruments and gear lost. Another portion of the funds raised went to aid the Kharkiv Professional Music College Named after the famous Ukrainian composer Lyatoshynskyi which was founded 139 years ago. The college was sadly bombed and many instruments were destroyed. If you can, please go to the store and help them out by buying some merch, if you can’t donate at least share this with other people that might be able to. Jinjer’s bassist Eugene Abdukhanov also confirmed to Elena Marastoni from EMP that they are working on a new album Inspired by the war events. “We actually have some songs written already, Because of Russia’s war in Ukraine, we had nothing else to do, and we were inspired, let’s say, by the events in a different way. When there were a lot of bombings in Kyiv and we had to hide in the shelters from the Russian bombs, Vlad wrote a lot — our drummer wrote a lot. This is what drove him, I think. As soon as the Russians withdrew from Kyiv, I wrote some songs. So we already have some songs written.”
We’re patiently waiting for those songs, Jinjer!
