If you didn’t already know Ozzfest is a music festival launched by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne in 1996.
For 2022 the Ozzfest will be joining the metaverse to be the first IRL Metal/Rock music festival to ever enter the metaverse. The festival will be taking place on Decentraland, the world’s largest user-owned and operated virtual social world, from 10th to 13th November.
Ozzy Osbourne, Motorhead ( They’ll probably need and ouija board for that one lol), Megadeth, Black Label Society, Skid Row, The Raven Age, and Britoff are confirmed acts. OZZFEST will be hosted by OzzFest MC Big Dave.
It wil have its own dedicated land parcel including two stages as part of the Metaverse Music Festival and the stage will be set in a cool gothic castle. The festival will also have VIP access and free wearable merchandise for Ozzy’s NFT CryptoBatz holders, those lucky people will also be able to take a potion which transforms them into bats ( of course as a virtual experience lol) that can fly to private balconies to watch the shows from a closer viewpoint. The virtual Ozzfest will be free to attend for everyone! No VR, ticket or headset will be required.
