Breaking news for all the fans of Eluveitie, the band just posted that the lead vocalist, Chrigel, will not be able to join them on their upcoming North American tour due to a family emergency. The band made this tough decision at the last minute, and they apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
However, the band is still committed to delivering an unforgettable Eluveitie set, and they have chosen Fabi to take the lead. In addition, they will be joined by two incredible guest performers: Adrienne Cowan from Seven Spires and Jukka Pelkonen from Omnium Gatherum, who will take over Chrigel’s part.
Chrigel, who expressed his disappointment on this unfortunate situation, says that it is an amazing example of how much the worldwide metal community is like a family, standing together. He thanked the guest performers for their support and assured the fans that the show would go on, and they would celebrate some unforgettable nights.
This will be the first Eluveitie tour without Chrigel in their entire history, but the band is confident that their talented performers and guest artists will rock the stage and make it an incredible tour. We wish Chrigel and his family all the best and send our love to the band and their fans during this difficult time.
The band wrote: “Dear fans of #Eluveitie , It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you that Chrigel will not be able to join us on our upcoming North American tour due to a family emergency.
This decision was made at the very last minute. We understand that this may come as a surprise, and we apologize for any inconvenience it may cause. However, we assure you that we are fully prepared to deliver a one-of-a-kind Eluveitie set, with Fabi taking the lead.
In addition to Fabi, we will be joined by two amazing guest performers: Adrienne Cowan from Seven Spires and Jukka Pelkonen from Omnium Gatherum. They’ll be taking over Chrigel’s part, and we are confident that they will do an incredible job.”
Chrigel comments:
“I’m honest, I don’t even know what to say, really.
Sometimes life has it’s ways to put your feet back on the ground for sure, sometimes even your fucking face. We all have been waiting for this North American tour so badly.
And now this. Due to a serious family emergency I am forced to stay at home and to not be part of this tour.
We literally had few hours only to consider things carefully, to find solutions and make final decisions. Well, we’ve decided that cancelling this tour on such short notice is not an option. We couldn’t do this to you, our loyal fans, nor to the two amazing bands supporting this tour.
This will be the first Eluveitie tour without myself in our entire history.
As much as it feels hard to see things positive in this case, it is an amazing example of how much the worldwide metal community is a family, standing together: Jukka from Omnium Gatherum and Adrienne from Seven Spires declared themselves ready to comply with Eluveitie and to step in – even on such a crazy short notice. I cannot express how thankful I am.
Nonetheless this feels weird, bizarre and I don’t know what. It might take some time to wrap my head around this.
But I am sure that ‘my’ girls and guys will rock it hard, together with Omnium Gatherum and Seven Spires; I’m sure that this will still be an amazing tour and that you all will celebrate some unforgettable nights! Take care you all! Love you!”
Thank you for your understanding and continued support!
Keep it heavy! \m/
