Japanese Metal band Babymetal will test out a “silent” mosh pit section at their two comeback shows in Tokyo at the Makuhari Messe International Exhibition on January 28 and 29 next year.
The arena will have a sectioned-off area designated for the silent mosh pit . This mosh pit is for fans who have children with them or who are not confident in their physical strength and are afraid of joining the main mosh pit which will still take place. I didn’t really understand that one, but in this pit people are encouraged not to shout, cheer, talk loudly or participate in any other behaviour “that may be an inconvenience to other customers”.
I think if people followed the mosh pit etiquette we wouldn’t need a separate “silent” one. But since some people don’t, I believe that this is a cool idea. Let’s see how it goes!
Keep it heavy guys \m/
